About Carrie Day

Carrie Day Bio
Thanks for coming to find me. Here's the official version, in which I refer to myself as "she" and try to sound like someone who knows what she is doing.
Carrie Day spent most of her working life telling other people's stories. Which was fine. Really, it was.
Then she turned fifty. She hadn't changed, but the world had changed its mind about her. Her voice got quieter. Her opinions got smaller. She had become, apparently, a woman of a certain age.
"Well, bugger that," she thought. "I'm just getting going."
Which is where the trouble started, because like most superwomen of a certain age Carrie came to the fight carrying anxiety, low self-esteem and a heap of family commitments left at her door. She could have got into a duvet with a family bag of Maltesers and stayed safe. She seriously considered it.
Instead she wrote what she knows: that there is an army of superwomen of a certain age out there, and you would be unwise to underestimate them. They are the glue in families. They slay their friends' fears. They fix things, quietly, on nothing but tea and biscuits.
She lives in England with her very supportive superman, two dogs, some chickens and an empty nest she is coping with admirably, one Malteser at a time. Other chocolates are available.
